Oil and gas are still the dominate source of energy with respect to other energy resources. However, the adverse impact of the production, refining and petrochemical industry on the global environment is a major concern. Therefore, great attention has been paid to the optimization of conventional resources utilization and the development of sustainable energy to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and to improve waste management. In this context, a major part of the upcoming Technology of Oil, Gas and Sustainable Energy (TOGSE2024) will focus on the benefits of using sustainable energy and the challenges to implement this approach in our daily energy requirements.
